Is Your Home Wireless Router Secure?

Price of wireless router has lowered over the years. The convenience this device brings include doing away with messy wiring and providing unrestricted movement or placement of PC/laptop in your home.

With more an more homes setting up their own wireless routers, it is important to ensure that  your home network is secure. There are a number of steps that can be taken:

1. Enable encryption
2. Change SSID name
3. Disable SSID broadcast
4. Enable MAC filtering
5. Change password for web access
6. Disable administrative access via web
